Zenong Zhou (Ge Hu) shoots a policeman during an altercation between gangsters. It's an accident, but Zhou suddenly realizes that he won't get out of it. Injured, he seeks shelter on the shore of the Lake of Wild Geese, a shark tank of hoodlums and marginalized people. After a bounty has been put on his head, the gangster wants at least an honorable exit: not just any traitor should collect the reward, but Zhou's wife.
